The Conservation Irrigation Lab studies how water and agriculture interact, focusing on strategies that make farming more resilient to droughts, floods, and water quality challenges. By combining science, extension, and communication, the lab helps farmers and policymakers make informed, conservation-minded decisions that protect water resources while sustaining agricultural production.
After transitioning from UC Davis to UW–Madison, Dr. Nocco needed a new website to reflect her evolving role while continuing to feature her long-term research on California water and agriculture. The redesigned site highlights her national reputation in agrohydrology and irrigation, while also supporting her teaching work in Wisconsin. Inspired by the solarpunk aesthetic, the Conservation Irrigation Lab’s new visual identity balances optimism and scientific credibility, creating a digital presence that is both innovative and approachable.
